Investors Unite is a coalition of more than 1100 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac investors. We have farmers, teachers, retirees and technicians, among many other professions represented within our membership. Below you will find the stories of a just few of the many that make-up Investors Unite.



Tim Pagliara

Founder, Investors Unite

Tim formed Capital Trust Wealth Management in Franklin, Tennessee in early 2000 after nearly 20 years in the industry. The firm now operates as CapWealth Advisors LLC and CapWealth Investment Services LLC



Loyal Blair

Loyal Blair is a retired rancher and US Navy veteran from Colorado, now living in Dayton, Ohio.  He has a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems, with a minor in economics from Mesa State University.  He has been an investor in FNMA and FMCC since July 2008, but has never invested in a hedge fund.



Nick Isbell

Nick Isbell is an economist from Bethesda, Maryland. He previously worked for Fannie Mae from 2001 to 2011. Mr. Isbell invested a significant sum in Fannie Mae stock shortly before the conservatorship. The investment was both emotional and rational. Mr. Isbell had come to know and love Fannie Mae and believed in its mission.



Susanna Hung

Susanna Hung is from San Francisco, California. Ms. Hung invested heavily in Fannie Mae common stock through her IRA because she believed in Fannie’s mission of helping ordinary people achieve the American Dream of owning their own home and because of Fannie’s historic profitability.



Daniel & Madalena Hutcheson

Daniel and Madalena Hutcheson reside in Portland, Tennessee. Mr. Hutcheson is a small business owner and Mrs. Hutcheson is employed by the local police department. They own common shares of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They own common shares of both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.



Brian Linse

Brian Linse, a construction services business owner in Portland, Oregon, is active in his community through charitable organizations, including serving as former president of Boys and Girls Clubs of Portland. After reading the terms of conservatorship, both he and his wife agreed that the government would invest.



Upendra Kulkarni

Upendra Kulkarni is an IT Consultant and owns a small consulting business based in Alpharetta, Georgia. In 2005, Mr. Kulkarni was able to purchase a home, thanks to the 30 year mortgage offered by the GSEs. Before and after the economic downturn in 2008, he decided to invest in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as they supported



Jeff Wood

Jeff Wood, a small business owner from Springdale, Arkansas, is a member and past president of the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation, and a board member of the Springdale Rotary Club. Mr. Wood bought Fannie and Freddie stock in December 2004 and significantly increased his portfolio in 2008
