This piece is a direct response to the anti-shareholder crowd that keeps bringing up the enormous stated size of the Fannie Mae (OTCQB:FNMA) and Freddie Mac (OTCQB:FMCC) bailouts and the question of solvency with relation to the 3rd Amendment to the Senior Preferred Stock Purchase Agreement (SPSPA), also known as the net worth sweep. The actual cash needed by the GSEs is of vital importance to understand the lawsuits brought by shareholders.
