Fannie/Freddie Account Surplus With Treasury Will Hit $40.9 Billion

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reported combined comprehensive income of $6.8 billion in the third quarter thanks to strong guaranty fee revenue, and to a lesser degree, revenues from legal settlements with their counterparties.
Moreover, according to their just-released earnings statements, after the two make their next earnings sweep payment to the U.S. Treasury, they will have an account surplus of $40.9 billion with Uncle Sam.
